Offering grants to organizations that improve the health and well-being of Canton residents, for over 50 years.

Donation Letter

Dear Neighbor,

For over 50 years, the Canton Community Health Fund (CCHF) has quietly, often anonymously, funded programs and activities that improve the health of Canton. This year, we gave nearly $29,000 to a variety of town related needs that are not supported by town property taxes.

Projects funded include:

  • Fresh fruit snacks for Cherry Brook Primary Kindergarten classes
  • An AED machine for the new town garage
  • “Stop the Bleed” kits which will enable schools to address emergency situations before first responders arrive.
  • Funding to complete the permanent lights at the High School track

Plus, we awarded a total of $4000 for the Dr. Diter’s Scholarshipto four graduating seniors pursuing a degree in a health-related field. The first recipient of the Dr. Diter’s Scholarship is a practicing pediatrician.

We continue to fund a variety of organizations in Canton, including the Food Bank, Fuel Bank and Focus on Canton.

But we need your help so we can do more. Please consider donating $50, or any amount, to CCHF. Your generosity will fund programs that would never exist. Thank you for your help.

Gratefully yours,

Lynn Miner, Chairperson

P.S. Every penny donated goes to fund grants in Canton. The CCHF board members are all volunteers.
